Awesome experience. Clayton was very professional and efficient. I called 8 am and he was here and repaired the door before noon. Unheard of service out here at the lake near Montezuma. Will definitely use them again. Couldn’t be happier with my experience.

My first interaction with Precision Door and I’m so impressed. I was having “clanking” sounds when my door closed. I called to make an appointment a d they were able to see me the same day and gave multiple time options. I received a confirmation text and email. My technician, Clayton, called me when he was about 20 minutes away. I also received a text with his picture and brief bio. He was so knowledgeable, showed and explained what was wrong and provided options and recommendations. About 10 minutes after leaving I received an estimate. Needless to say, I immediately signed to get the work done.

Only reason I don’t give 5 stars is inflated materials cost. Excellent customer service, performed repair on the weekend hours after calling. Repairman was fantastic fixing the broken spring and recommending additional maintenance due to the garage door not having any updates in 10 years. Highly recommend if you need something done that day but be cautious of higher costs.

I scheduled online and got a response instantly. I could pick my day, time and they confirmed it all via text or email. The day of my appointment ShaRaad called an hour before he arrived , he was very polite and explained in detail exactly what he woujd be doing. He had everything on hand once problem was identified and fixed it right then. He was very professional and exhibited great customer service! Highly recommend.

Mt technician, AJ, let me know he was on his way, and very quickly was able to assess the issues. Within 5 minutes, I had an email with three different options for repair and what each option entailed and the warranty for each. I chose one, and we were able to schedule his return for that afternoon for the repair. To be honest when searching for a company to work on my garage door this was one of the top choices. I went with it as the first thing they said is a free quote for the work. Other companies wanted to charge for giving a quote and that is just bad business if you ask me. The next thing that I saw a positive was the fact that when they cam out they gave me two options of full replacement or repair of the current door with a new opener. Then they gave their professional option of the two choices based on the type of garage I had, and which option would save me money. That was a big plus to see a company offer two choices and to not force the higher cost option onto a customer. The Tech ShaRaad was polite and knowledgeable and the other techs that helped him made the whole experience pleasant one. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for quality work at a far price.

We have used Precision Garage Door Service of Cedar Rapids for garage door opener repair and replacement in the past and were very pleased with their service. We needed a different garage door opener replaced (it was 30 years old) can called Precision Garage Doors again. They scheduled a technician to come in a few days and replaced our garage door opener. Clayton had been here before and he did an excellent job again for us in checking out the door opener, letting me know the problems and replacing the garage door opener.

We did due diligence on-line, then asked 3 cos. to bid new garage doors for us. Precision responded in a timely manner, was courteous, informative, professional, and offered a better product at a very competitive price including a generous sr. citizen discount. We had a few follow- up questions, found the office helpful, and when necessary a technician called me back that same day. I had one change to make to the order and Precision’s owner was very patient with me while we worked that out on the phone. Precision was available to install the new doors in a reasonable time. Installation day they arrived on time, were respectful of our property, answered any questions we had, asked our preference for any options, worked non-stop, and after they left there was no evidence they had been there save our new doors. They look great and everything works as it should! They looked up the billing on-line, which was exactly the same as their bid. How often can you say all this about a contractor, their employees, their product, and their follow-through?! The only somewhat negative thing I can say is I requested a paper copy of the warranties - as opposed to a few lines in the sales catalog or word of mouth - and a paper copy of a receipted bill but I haven’t received them yet and it has been a few weeks. But I trust a reminder call will take care of that. So, bottom line is don’t hesitate to call them. They will do it right.

5/15/2026 Scheduling was quick and efficient. The tech, Clayton, visited the same morning. Clayton was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Replaced an old chain driven opener with a new belt drive model. After installation Clayton made sure to walk me through step by step how to set up the app and program the remotes, keypad, and car. Great guy! This replacement was an unexpected expense, but worth it. I would highly recommend Precision and Clayton to my neighbors and colleagues.
